(5—7 PM): Proclamation Ceremony; Presentations will be made by members of the City of Houston Mayor’s Office, City Council and Texas State Legislature; organization leaders and other women leaders; Reception; and City Hall will be lit purple.

“I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights,” International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
